VOX: How are things in Cincinnati?

John Dolmayan: It's cold, man. There are many fine shops and stuff around here, though, and can not wait to test stuff. This is a university town, so there are some cool places I go and check out.

VOX: Yes, that's the truth. So here 100 songs of all time  ... As you together as a band?

JD: Well, dependent on different members at different times. Serj (Tankian, vocals), Daron (Malakian, guitars) joined for the first ...played together in a band called Earth, which resolved. They Shavo (Odadjian, bass) first met through friends that once land has been made, linkin park albums  they hang up. I came  later. We all met through mutual friends. It 'really a coincidence that  Metallica Albums we are all Armenians. It was not 100 songs of all time intentional - it's just how it worked.

VOX: What is the name of System of a Down?

JD: Daron had written this poem entitled "Victims of a Down" and the first word was "system" changed - "victim" was too close and very personal. "System" is broader, more open  linkin park albums society - is an open declaration. It leaves open the idea and interpretation.

VOX: It 's almost rare for a band to come from Los Angeles. What do you think of the music scene in Los Angeles?

JD: I think it's pretty good. Los Angeles is really the trend for the rest of the country, and indeed for the world. There are a lot of really good music comes from Los Angeles.
